Produces a series of symptoms much like scarlet fever; sore throat, fever, vomiting, scarlet eruption; tonsils and submaxillary glands enlarged, with diarrhœa. Fauces red and swollen, face swollen. Desire for ice-cold things. Hoarseness. Languid, drowsy, irritable.
